About
Laura originally trained as a linguist, finishing her PhD in experimental psycholinguistics in 2009. She then worked in academia for almost 10 years, doing research and publishing widely on both spoken and written language comprehension. She has been with WSA as a senior evidence and research manager since 2018 and affiliated with ORCA labs since 2023.
Research Interests
Laura’s main research interests are (1) hearing aid sound preference and how it might impact patient success and clinical encounters and related to this (2) the effects of different signal processing choices on patient’s performance and experiences with hearing aids.
